Awesome news! I have a set of those drop hats on the way for my E34. I should buy another set for our track car, but I don't car as much about stance with it.

I wonder if just getting the center of gravity that much lower on the track car will help with handling. You will like the drop hats they are excellent quality.

I got them today, you're right. They look like OEM items.

IT will definitely help handling. Also, your car will settle about another .5" I'd bet so then you'll be really happy.

BTW, good springs should outlast your car. Even though the race springs aren't designed for the cabrio they're still 500lb springs. Smile

So my Bavauto camber plates arrived today and they have K-MAC stamped all over them. Plus the bearings are frozen solid, so they are heading back to Bavauto this week.

What camber plates do you suggest I use?

I don't run camber plates and neither do 99% of lowered E30's that aren't tracked. The negative camber isn't terrible on any of my E30's...in the front, anyway. The rears are a different story.

I'd just wait for everything to settle and get it aligned, then worry about if you need plates or not.

That is what I think I am going to do. Though, I installed Bavautos rear camber adjustment kit and it worked wonders, the alignment shop said I am in stock spec with my rear camber.

Without adjusting the front camber what kind of tire wear do you experience?

How long do you recommend letting the car settle? I have put about 250 miles on the new set up.

Sorry missed your reply. My fronts experience no wear at all. The camber isn't off by that much, and it's the toe, not the camber, that will kill your front tires.

I try to let mine settle for at least a few hundred miles before alignment. I will say that every time you take all the compression off the spring you need to let it settle again.

Took some pics of my car in the driveway yesterday when we got back from the beach, so I took one where you could see the camber.

so Crash,

correct me if im wrong you ended up getting the IE stage 3's springs with the billies?
Do you mind me asking how much the setup cost was?

I had a friend who had a very similiar setup to yours and loved it; I was seriously thinking of going the same route before your post but kinda iffy and was wanting a bit stiffer rates.

So do you feel like this is a great setup? Like you would never really consider taking a different route.

Also you wouldnt happen to have a link to all bushings and bolts and bearings etc to replace while doing the suspension?(not gonna lie I dont want to write one out Ive been a bit lazy putting this off). I want to make sure I budget correctly and take care of every one use bolt and all bushings.

thanks,
Mark
